Feldpost from Kommando Stelle "S", Einsatz bei der Fuehrung der Fernraketen-Verbaende / unit for the development and coordination of the long-range rocket program, aka the Vergeltungswaffe / 'Vengeance Weapons' or 'Wunderwaffe' / 'Wonder Weapons'. With line cachet of FPRN12310 and the distinctive Peenemuende V / VII cancel. From other correspondence we know that this man was a member of 'Gruppe Peters' at Peenemuende and then AAA271 at Schneidemuehl, with a long history of work on the V2 / A4.
US$469
Germany Ost Sachsen / Soviet Zone East Saxony stamp in rare Gruenlichschwarz / greenish-black color. Mit Falz / mint hinged (MH) '17 CV EUR800. With Bodo Streoh BPP photo cert.
US$469
Feldpost from Funk-Horch Kp 725 / radio receiver company, which worked on development and then subsequent launching of the V2 / A4 rocket. These were fired via remote signals, and the Funk units also monitored the flight for subsequent aiming. Struck with a Peenemuende (Peenemunde) VII / V cancel (weird coincidence -- to me -- in that the cancel for these V2 units was VII -- technically a Roman 7, I know but I always see V-II ). All Vergeltungs-Waffe (Retribution Weapons) aka Wunderwaffe (Wonder Weapons) Feldpost are quite scarce. This comes from a large collection formed over decades and which had only 52 pieces, which is still the largest grouping I've seen offered from a single owner. With long contents.
US$469
Germany overprinted Deutsches Reich stamps for use in Netschkau-Reichenbach right after WWII, when there were no other official postage stamps available from the occupying forces. '17 CV EUR850, expertized Sturm BPP and Richter.
US$469
Feldpost cover from V2 rocket development and test fire unit at Karlshagen with undercover address of Wohngemeinschaft "Wiking" at Karlshagen and modified Peenemuende (Peenemunde) 'Tarnstempel' cancel. Also bears the Nebelkompanie der Luftwaffe 52 Dienstsiegel / Service cachet. The Nebel or 'Smoke' companies were the units that fired both gas cannisters and the early rocket launchers (Nebelwerfer), and here upgraded their rocket-firing expertise to the V2.
US$469
Feldpost cover from V2 / A4 rocket development and test fire unit with undercover address of Wohngemeinschaft "Wiking" at Karlshagen, with Trassenheide auf Usedom cancel. Usedom is the small peninsula on the northern shores of Germany which hosted the Vergeltungswaffen development.
US$469
Feldpost cover from a Kfz Werkstatt / Transport workshop unit, part of the V2 / A4 rocket development and test fire unit at Karlshagen with undercover address of Wohngemeinschaft "Wiking" and Greifswald cancel. The Greifswald Kreis contains Usedom, the small peninsula on the northern shores of Germany which hosted the Vergeltungswaffen development. This same sender later previously sent messages bearing the Nebelkompanie der Luftwaffe 52 Dienstsiegel / Service cachet. The Nebel or 'Smoke' companies were the units that fired both gas cannisters and the early rocket launchers (Nebelwerfer), and here upgraded their rocket-firing expertise to the V2. Since Greifswald was the training ground for the SS Schwere Werfer Unit 500, the SS unit charged with the operational firing of the rocket and he served with the Luftwaffe Nebel unit, that's his likely role at this point and time in his career with the V4 at Peenemuende.
US$469

All Vergeltungs-Waffe (Retribution Weapons) aka Wunderwaffe (Wonder Weapons) Feldpost are quite scarce. This comes from a large collection formed over decades and which had only 52 pieces, which is still the largest grouping I've seen offered from a single owner. Roughly opened, torn at edges. Original Freikorps Feldpost cover from Pommersches Grenzschutz Bataillon I / Pomeranian Border Protection Battalion I during the period of severe unrest following the Kaiser's abdication in 1918 and the subsequent Communist revolutions / right-wing counter-revolutions. Meanwhile, WWI continued in the East, with German forces trying to carve fiefdoms out of the remnants of the Russian and Austrian Empires at the same time those same people fought to control as much of their land (and Germany) as possible. A bit worn, as per scans. Fantastic contents. "...In the meantime, much here has changed. Our company is the forward-most emplacement, and we are visited every night by the Poles. Nearly every part of our quarter was in flames. A huge barn with 120 chickens was completely burnt. The guys tossed hand-grenades inside and tried to take over the battlefield but the light [of the fire] was so great we could what they were up to."
US$289
