Original Feldpost / sailor's mail from WWII Marine Kleinkampfverband Unterseeboot (K-Verband U-Boot) Kampflot 265 / midget submarine with the Biber 265th Battle Fleet in Westfjord/Lofoten, Norway. With contents. The Biber (German for 'beaver') were tiny, single occupant subs that could be equipped with two torpedoes, on either side of the hull. Only 324 of these subs were delivered, and if they actually were able to start on their mission, most didn't return. I believe only one ship was sunk by the entire 'fleet'. This cover was written in March and somehow made it to Hamburg where it was finally postmarked on April 10, 1945. A very rare cover, especially with contents, from a German 'Kleinverband' boat.

National Sozialist - oder Umsonst waren die Opfer / (become) National Socialist - or our sacrifice was in vain. A very rare card from the Streiter Verlag in 1928. The Streiter publishing house was the exclusive provider (for a time) of official posters (and other works) of the Nazi party in the 1920's. Though Streiter later fell afoul of the Nazi's and is believed to have been shot in Ravensbrueck concentration camp in the last month of the war. (see Wiki for more datas). You probably won;t find another any time soon, and it certainly won't be nicer: in absolute top condition.

Patriotic postcard produced by and for the Czech Legion in Russia during and shortly after WWI. The Legion had great success fighting for the Russians at Zborov, but after the Tsar was deposed and the Communists took over they were to be disarmed, a fate to which they took exception. So, like any of us would do, they decided to take over the Trans-Siberian railway and carved their own rolling iron empire out of the former Russia crown's east. The Allies weakly supported them (mostly with words) in fighting the Communists, but ultimately their revolution sputtered to a halt and they evacuated out of (mostly) Valdivostok. Slightly worn, bumped corners, good condition, as per scans. Amazing that in the midst of their fighting they had time to actually produce postcards -- I guess there was some significant downtime while rolling across Siberia.

Patriotic donation postcard of Czech-purloined train in Ekaterinburg, for the Czech Legion in Russia during and shortly after WWI featuring artwork by the soldiers doing the actual fighting. Ekaterinburg is where the Communists executed the Tsar and his family, rightly fearing that the Czechs would liberate them. Excellent unused condition, as per scans.

Patriotic donation postcard for the Czech Legion in Russia during and shortly after WWI featuring artwork by the soldiers doing the actual fighting. Excellent unused condition, as per scans.
