German Imperial Navy / Deutsches Kriegsmarine ship Real Photo Postcard (RPPC); showing the Ak=Denis, the former ship "Oldenburg" sold to Turkey, and now being used to return German soldiers from the Asiatic front after WWII. The ship arrived in Wilhelmshaven April 5, 1919, in the midst of the German revolutionary uprisings or 'Strassenkaempfe' that marred the beginning of the post-WWI Weimar Republic. Two photos, on of the soldiers on board, and the other as the ship approaches harbor on the final day of its voyage.
