Original cover from Georg Keiper, German professor and former WWI Kriegsgefangen / POW of Kiautschou, China (Osaka and then Ninoshima camps), now working as a mining engineer with Anzan Steel Works in South Manchuria. Very worn, opened on three sides, chipped, wrinkled, etc. With typewritten contents concerning the mining ('The slag-sand was extracted early today, which you didn't expect. Samples will follow ina few days to Tokyo, when the sand has dried enough.') Sent to Herrn Landgraf in Akasaka, Tokyo, Japan. Very unusual.
