Letter written at Budweis, Bohemia (then part of the Austrian Empire) on January 6, 1646 during the Thirty Year's War by the Bishop of Olomouc and Passau, Colonel of Imperial Troops, Leopold Wilhelm. Orders the citizens of Eger, Bohemia to oppose the Swedes who had been invading/occupying Imperial lands for decades at this point. Decorative letter with royal seal; a genuine piece of Hapsburg - Austrian - European history that really belongs in a museum.
