In 1919 the US assigned the USS President Grant to the Army and it was used in 1920 to pick up the Czech Legions in Vladivostok and return them home, stopping in various ports along the way (hence the Sri Lanka postcard). With Czech cancel of the USS PRESIDENT GRANT. Worn, stamp has fallen off, but very rare -- obviously used only for this special case of transporting the Czechoslovakians.
