Original Feldpost / sailor's mail from WWII Marine Kleinkampfverband Unterseeboot (K-Verband U-Boot) 5. Marder Flottille, Kampflot 365 / midget submarine (actually a torpedo modified to hold a human) with the Marder 365th Battle Fleet in Skagen, Norway. With contents. The Marder (German for 'martin') were tiny, single occupant 'subs' (converted torpedoes) that could be equipped with a live torpedo slung underneath. If they actually were able to start on their mission, only a handful managed to return. An illustration of the sub is attached at front left. A very rare cover from a German 'Kleinverband' suicide boat.
