Postcard datelined Shanghai 1904, from on board the SMS Aspern, in China to support the Alliance of 8 Country's occupation after suppressing the Boxer Rebellion. This is a very scarce representative from the small contingent of the Austrian Kriegsmarine in the Far East at this period. Austria had a relatively small Navy which became landlocked after WWI.
